Midnight at the Well of Souls.Although not at all equine in nature, not having four legs or even one, and seldom if ever seen galloping down roads and across fields, mermaids have a special place in the hearts of centaur fans.

The idea of the human torso combined with the body of a horse, as is the centaur, is carried over into the essence of the mermaid, and mermen, but mermaids definitely are more sought after. As a centaur is powerful, fast and graceful, a mermaid is fast, lithe and graceful in the water, a world foreign to both centaur and human.

Few stories of mermaids as main characters are well known. Although their legend has been told for years. As the sirens of old, their sweet seductive voices leading ships and sailors to their doom, in modern times, their seductive powers have not waned. And we are able to enjoy their forms through images. Even in pictures, however, the pull of the mermaid's allure is felt, and their beauty and power of attraction have not faded through the years.
