Centaursite.com - Happy Birthday, Mavra!

Several Artists, Megan Giles, Anna-Karin Larsson, and Carlos from SpinDizzy have contributed to this group of images celebrating Mavra's birthday! Argon wrote the commentary.

Mavra and Argon share a tender moment.

Argon and Mavra took a trip to Denver Colorado to celebrate her birthday. After traveling the roads rising and higher and higher into the Rocky Mountans, the centaur couple found a Bed and Breakfast operated by a very accomodating owner. They were given a wonderful room with a big sturdy bed, and the cool mountain air and the romantic setting led to a most memorable evening. The next morning, Argon and Mavra stepped out onto the room's deck and enjoyed the view, and their love. (Image by Anna-Karin Larsson)

A picture taken of taking a picture.

After a wonderful breakfast which the B & B's owner made sure was centaur sized, (He even laid cushions at the table so Argon and Mavra could rest on the floor as they ate.) the centaurs took off 'on hoof' to explore the countryside. The owner suggested a few places to visit, and hesitantly offered them a map of area riding trails. The centaurs readily agreed that riding trails would be just perfect. No stairs or close clearances, and well, they are 'horse-like' after all! As they headed out,the B & B owner captured this image of Argon taking a photo of the lovely Mavra. Centaur Navajo? Just sort of as a gag, the two centaurs stopped at a roadside stand and had their pictures taken dressed up as Native Americans. Mavra's natural skin and hair tone left her looking quite natural, but Argon's somewhat Nordic features left him looking quite out of place.(Image by Megan Giles)
Mavra and deers.

As they traveled away from the B & B and got deeper into the mountains and woods, the 'local residents' made their presence known. Here, Mavra observes Mama and Daddy deer who are observing her. They may be wondering if Mavra is another deer, or a horse, or something else as she doesn't quite look like either. And that big white and yellow thing she's traveling with and taking the picture certainly isn't a deer! Big antlers or not, Daddy Deer led Mama in a quick jump back into the woods to safety! Argon and Mavra and some porupines.

As the owner of the B & B had warned, the temperature got cooler the higher they climbed. After a while, Argon had put on a jacket and Mavra a sweater and scarf. Mavra, not having the thick feathering Argon has on his legs, put on some leggings to keep her forelegs warm. Finding a nice spot, Argon had set the camera on timer to catch a picture of Mavra and himself, but as the shutter snapped, a couple of local porcupines popped up to get a peek at the strangers in their neighborhood. Argon and Mavra and some porupines.

Anna suggests this caption for the finished version,
"Don't get to close, dear. They're spikey!"
*nervous tailswish*
"But they're so cute! Aren't hey? Can I have a pet one? Please? prettyplease?"
*turns head to look adoringly up at her lover*
"No puppy eyes.. Nonono....."
*Argon starts to trot off with Mavra pleasdingly whining please, please, please...*

Mavra ready for a swim. Finding a small pond fed by a hot spring, Mavra and Argon stripped off their cold-weather gear and got ready for a swim. There being no one else for miles around, Argon got 'nekkid' before getting in the water, but Mavra, retaining her modesty, wore a bathing suit. Well, the top anyway! (Image by Megan Giles.)
Mavra and Argon relax. After being refreshed and relaxed by the warm spring water, Mavra and Argon lay in the soft, fragrant grass near the pond and let their bodies dry in the sun. Happy, comfortable and at ease with their lives and centaur bodies, and completely in love, we'll let the curtain drop on this story as the next scene might involve Mavra and Argon centaursmoochiekissiefaceing!(Image by Carlos)

After spending another evening at the Bed and Breakfast, Mavra and Argon headed home, with some nice pictures and wonderful memories.

And of course, although it wasn't Argon's birthday, he got the best present. Getting to spend a special weekend with the most beautiful woman in the world, and her telling him how special she thinks he is.

Thanks, Mavra. And happy birthday!

Love,

Argon
