Hot 2 Trot is a female centaur who is a featured, but not lead character in a comic series named Soulsearchers.
A group of mercenaries, the Soulsearchers seem to travel not only in the physical world, but through the temporial one too. That's time travel for the less well read among us. Sometimes they are in the present day, other times their adventures are in anchient days. There is a lot of Dungeons and Dragons influence in their adventure. All of the folks in this group have special powers, abilities, or, as in Hot 2 Trot's case, physical attributes. Like the leader of the group, a human who is now a groundhog, she too was transformed from human into centaur form.
Although the series starts with Hot 2 Trot in centaur form, it seems her abilities and contribution to the group were not always a result of that. She was human when she joined them, and in a 'flashback' episode, we find how she became a centaur.
Traveling through time due to an accident, curse, mix-up, or plot device, the Soulsearchers find themselves in (Surprize!) anchient Greece, where they meet (Can you guess?) Circe! Not being very kind hearted, she uses her powers to do what she's apparently commonly known for, and starts changing folks into animals. Hot 2 Trot, is in the process of being changed into a horse when rescue arrives, and the spell is stopped mid-transformation, leaving her with the body of a centaur.
Amazingly, Hot 2 Trot retains all her human facilities and abilities, and her partially transformed body is that of a perfecly formed and functioning centaur. Pretty lucky, eh?
In spite of her unfortunate choice of name, she is not at all angsty about her form, and actually seems to enjoy it. One reason for this is her convenient loss of memory of her life before her change. This is another common occurance in human to centaur transformed characters. Of course, her weapon of choice is the bow, and with her weight and hooves, she's a formidable fighter in close quarters.
There are many more pages of Hot 2 Trot, here are just a few. The comic 'Soul Searchers and Company is sometimes available at comic cons and on line. I do not know if it is still being published.
