Here
is a collection of pictures of centaurs. The ones that are by artists that are
known have been credited. If you can identify the artists of other works who's
creators have not been identified, please contact
argon@centaursite.com.
There are many styles and media used by artists to draw the centaur form. And each artist sees the form differently. Yet each work depicts the wonderful 'joining' of the human and equine aspects. Some show the power and strength of it, others its size and mass, and some reveal the delicacy of the human aspect in conjuction with the brute force available in the equine portion. In all of these images, the centaur is depicted not as two parts, joined together, but as what it is; a complete being. Not human, not horse, but a seperate combination of the aspects of both, all controlled and experienced by a human mind. Some may argue that a centaur's brain, as its body, is neither horse nor human. And, as some of these images show, some centaurs are more 'horse' and others are more 'human'.
Note that the artwork is owned and copyrighted by its artists. Any identifiable characters are copyright their creators or present owners. The usual rules of downloading, sharing and Not Selling them apply.
